Learning & Development
The nursery provides the first step to Early Years Education, where the children will follow the early year’s foundation stage, concentrating on seven key areas of learning.
Led by an Early Years Professional and our qualified and experienced team of staff the children are encouraged to make their learning through play exciting and by providing the children with a wide variety of resources allows them to investigate in their own way. Whether it be inside painting, investigating in the water tray or pretend play in the role play area. Or outside in the mud kitchen, digging in the large sandpit, playing on the bikes and trikes or climbing on the climbing frame. The children are encouraged to use their own interests and ideas to make their learning fun.
Whilst our activities are often initiated by the children, through following their interests we are able to plan the sessions with a two weekly theme. We are able to initiate structured play through adult led activities and phonic and number work. These sessions are linked appropriately to the age and developmental stage of each child.
